We worked closely with out friends at Polar Media on this beautiful animation for Upstream, BP’s exploration division.

The brief was to take the script and initial direction and explore animation and design concepts to bring the piece together. Our design exploration led towards a paper / lopoly aesthetic approach. It was important to emphasise effort and reinvention, time passing, and transformation in both the protagonists and the world around them. 

 The film won Honoree status at the 2020 Webby Awards.
